sketch: add git username attribution for user messages in timeline

Implement comprehensive user attribution system displaying git username below user message bubbles in both active sketch sessions and archived skaband message views, with full test coverage.

Problems Solved:

Missing User Attribution:
- User messages in timeline lacked visible attribution for identification
- No way to distinguish which user sent messages in shared or review contexts
- Timeline display provided no user context beyond message type differentiation
- Archived messages on skaband /messages/<session-id> page had no user attribution

Inconsistent Attribution Between Views:
- Active sketch sessions and archived skaband views used different component systems
- Messages-viewer component wasn't setting state property for timeline attribution
- Git username information wasn't being extracted from session data in skaband
- Version skew between sketch and skaband frontend components

Solution Implementation:

Backend State Management:
- Added GitUsername() method to Agent struct returning config.GitUsername
- Extended CodingAgent interface to include GitUsername() method
- Added git_username field to State struct in loophttp.go
- Populated git_username in getState() method from agent.GitUsername()
- Enhanced skaband SessionWithData with UserName field for git username storage
- Updated session JSON parsing to extract git_username into UserName field

Frontend Timeline Component:
- Added user attribution display outside and below user message bubbles
- Right-edge alignment of username with message bubble edge
- Clean visual separation between message content and attribution metadata
- Conditional rendering only for user message types with available git_username
- Responsive design handling both normal and compact display modes

Skaband Integration:
- Modified messages-viewer.ts to create proper State object for timeline component
- Added git_username population with fallback hierarchy for backward compatibility
- Enhanced session JSON parsing to extract git_username into UserName field
- Updated all session data retrieval functions in skaband database layer
- Ensured consistent attribution across active and archived message views

Visual Design:
- Username displays in 11px italic font below message content
- Right-aligned to match user message bubble alignment
- Color: #666 for clear contrast and subtle attribution appearance
- 4px top margin for appropriate spacing from message bubble
- CSS classes: .user-name-container and .user-name for styling

Implementation Details:

State Management Architecture:
- Active sessions: Agent config → State object → timeline component
- Archived sessions: Session JSON → SessionWithData.UserName → State object → timeline component
- Consistent data flow ensuring attribution works in both contexts
- Three-tier fallback: session_state.git_username → user_name → undefined

Data Extraction Pipeline:
- Session JSON parsing extracts git_username using same pattern as user_email
- Database layer updates in GetAllSessionStateData, SearchSessionsByMessageContentPaginated, GetSessionStateDataWithFilters
- Graceful degradation for older sessions without git username data
- No breaking changes to existing data structures or APIs

Component Integration:
- Timeline component state property receives comprehensive git-related fields
- Messages-viewer creates state object matching active session behavior
- No breaking changes to existing component interfaces or data structures
- Clean separation between message content and user attribution

Backward Compatibility:
- Older sessions without git_username gracefully show no attribution
- New sessions have complete attribution data in both views
- No impact on existing message display or functionality
- Optional field design maintains compatibility with existing code

Testing and Validation:

Comprehensive Test Coverage:
- Created messages-viewer.test.ts with 8 test scenarios covering state creation logic
- Added git username attribution tests to sketch-timeline-message.test.ts
- Tested fallback hierarchy: session_state.git_username → user_name → undefined
- Verified message filtering, data handling, and edge cases
- All messages-viewer tests passing (8/8)

Test Environment Compatibility:
- Resolved TypeScript decorator configuration issues in test environment
- Implemented workarounds for Lit component testing constraints
- Fixed mock data factory functions to properly handle undefined values
- Maintained comprehensive test coverage despite environment limitations

Functional Validation:
- Created visual mockups confirming correct alignment and positioning
- Verified state object creation with proper git_username extraction
- Confirmed visual positioning and alignment requirements
- Validated TypeScript compilation and Go build compatibility
- Manual testing confirms runtime functionality works correctly

Files Modified:
- sketch/loop/agent.go: Added GitUsername() method to interface and implementation
- sketch/loop/server/loophttp.go: Added git_username to State struct and population
- sketch/webui/src/types.ts: Added git_username field to State interface
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/sketch-timeline-message.ts: User attribution display and positioning
- sketch/webui/src/messages-viewer.ts: State object creation for timeline component
- skaband/skadb/skadb.go: UserName field and git username extraction from session JSON
- sketch/webui/src/messages-viewer.test.ts: Comprehensive test coverage for state creation
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/sketch-timeline-message.test.ts: Timeline component tests

The implementation provides consistent user attribution across all message viewing contexts while maintaining clean visual design, full backward compatibility, and comprehensive test coverage.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: seb68c9ba94cdcc5bk

webui: convert sketch-call-status and sketch-chat-input to SketchTailwindElement with comprehensive demo support

Convert both sketch-call-status and sketch-chat-input components from shadow DOM CSS to Tailwind classes while maintaining test compatibility and adding comprehensive demo infrastructure.

Problems Solved:

Shadow DOM Styling Limitations:
- Both components used CSS-in-JS with shadow DOM preventing Tailwind integration
- Large static styles blocks with custom CSS duplicated Tailwind functionality
- Components couldn't benefit from design system consistency
- Difficult to maintain custom CSS alongside Tailwind-based components

Missing Demo Infrastructure:
- sketch-call-status had no demo fixtures for testing component states
- sketch-chat-input needed dedicated demo fixture following naming convention
- Components not properly integrated into demo runner system

Test Compatibility Issues:
- Conversion to Tailwind required updating shadow DOM selectors
- renderRoot.querySelector calls needed conversion to direct querySelector
- Component tests needed updating for non-shadow DOM structure

Solution Implementation:

Tailwind CSS Conversion - sketch-call-status:
- Changed sketch-call-status to inherit from SketchTailwindElement
- Replaced CSS-in-JS styles with Tailwind utility classes and inline animations
- Converted animations using @keyframes in inline tag
- Maintained exact visual appearance while using Tailwind classes

Tailwind CSS Conversion - sketch-chat-input:
- Changed sketch-chat-input to inherit from SketchTailwindElement
- Replaced extensive static styles CSS block with Tailwind utility classes
- Converted complex chat container, input wrapper, and button styling
- Added custom fade-in animation to tailwind.config.js with keyframes

Key Tailwind Class Mappings:
- Call status indicators: bg-yellow-100 text-amber-500 (active), text-gray-400 (idle)
- Status banners: bg-green-50 text-green-700 (idle), bg-orange-50 text-orange-600 (working)
- Chat container: w-full bg-gray-100 p-4 min-h-[40px] relative
- Chat input: flex-1 p-3 border border-gray-300 rounded resize-y font-mono
- Send button: bg-blue-500 hover:bg-blue-600 disabled:bg-gray-400

Shadow DOM to Light DOM Conversion:
- Removed static styles properties completely
- Updated all renderRoot.querySelector calls to direct querySelector calls
- Changed shadow DOM event handler setup to work with light DOM
- Maintained all drag-and-drop and event handling functionality

Test Compatibility Maintenance:
- Added semantic CSS classes back to elements for test selectors
- Updated sketch-chat-input.test.ts to use querySelector instead of renderRoot.querySelector
- Fixed drag event simulation to work with light DOM structure
- All existing tests continue to pass with updated selectors

Demo Infrastructure Implementation:
- Created call-status.ts demo fixtures with CallStatusState interface
- Added comprehensive sketch-call-status.demo.ts with interactive controls
- Created chat-input.ts demo fixture with message display and controls
- Added both components to demo-runner.ts knownComponents list

Interactive Demo Features:
- Call status: Status variations, interactive LLM/tool call controls, connection toggle
- Chat input: Message display with user/bot styling, multiple preset buttons
- Both demos include real-time state updates and comprehensive examples

Dependencies:
- Added @tailwindcss/vite package for Tailwind integration
- Updated package.json and package-lock.json with new dependency

Files Modified:
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/sketch-call-status.ts: Converted to SketchTailwindElement
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/sketch-chat-input.ts: Converted to SketchTailwindElement
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/sketch-chat-input.test.ts: Updated selectors for light DOM
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/demo/demo-fixtures/call-status.ts: Added call status fixtures
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/demo/demo-fixtures/index.ts: Export call status fixtures
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/demo/sketch-call-status.demo.ts: Complete interactive demo
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/demo/chat-input.ts: New chat input demo fixture
- sketch/webui/src/web-components/demo/demo-framework/demo-runner.ts: Added both components
- sketch/webui/tailwind.config.js: Added custom fade-in animation
- sketch/webui/package.json: Added @tailwindcss/vite dependency

Testing and Validation:
- All component tests pass with updated selectors
- Components render correctly with Tailwind classes
- All functionality preserved including animations and interactions
- Interactive demos load and function properly
- Components appear in demo runner list

The conversion maintains all functionality while enabling better integration
with the Tailwind-based design system and providing comprehensive demo
infrastructure for development and testing.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: s97f4190763cfe17ak

sketch: add /proc filesystem fallback for port monitoring when ss command unavailable

Implements /proc/net/tcp* parsing as fallback when ss command fails to eliminate
dependency on ss being installed in container environments.

Problems Solved:

ss Command Dependency:
- PortMonitor.updatePortState() relied on 'ss -lntu' command for port detection
- Failed on systems where ss (iproute2 package) is not installed
- No fallback mechanism when ss command execution failed
- Port monitoring became non-functional in minimal container environments

Limited Container Support:
- Many minimal container images don't include ss command
- Port monitoring silently failed without providing any functionality
- No way to detect listening ports without external command dependencies

Solution Architecture:

/proc Filesystem Parsing:
- Added getListeningPortsFromProc() method to read /proc/net/tcp* files
- Parses /proc/net/tcp, /proc/net/tcp6, /proc/net/udp, /proc/net/udp6
- Hex address decoding for both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
- Socket state filtering to identify listening sockets (state 0x0A for TCP, 0x07 for UDP)

Fallback Implementation:
- updatePortState() tries ss command first, falls back to /proc on failure
- parseAddress() handles little-endian hex encoding from /proc files
- Generated output format matches ss command output for compatibility
- Maintains existing parseSSPorts() functionality for ss output

Implementation Details:

Address Parsing:
- IPv4: 8-character hex string representing little-endian 32-bit address
- IPv6: 32-character hex string with little-endian 32-bit chunks
- Port numbers stored as big-endian hex values
- Special address handling: 0.0.0.0 and :: converted to '*'

Socket State Detection:
- TCP listening sockets: state 0x0A (TCP_LISTEN)
- UDP bound sockets: state 0x07 (TCP_CLOSE for UDP)
- Filters out non-listening connections and states

Error Handling:
- Graceful fallback when ss command fails
- Logs debug messages for command failures
- Continues with /proc parsing if available
- Handles missing /proc files gracefully

Testing:

Comprehensive Test Coverage:
- TestParseAddress() verifies hex address decoding for IPv4/IPv6
- TestParseProcData() validates /proc file parsing with mock data
- TestGetListeningPortsFromProcFallback() tests complete fallback functionality
- TestUpdatePortStateWithFallback() validates end-to-end behavior

Address Parsing Validation:
- IPv4 localhost (0100007F:0050 -> 127.0.0.1:80)
- IPv4 wildcard (00000000:0016 -> *:22)
- IPv6 wildcard and specific addresses
- Error handling for invalid formats and hex values

Files Modified:
- sketch/loop/port_monitor.go: Added /proc parsing methods and fallback logic
- sketch/loop/port_monitor_test.go: Added comprehensive tests for new functionality

The implementation ensures port monitoring works reliably in any Linux environment
regardless of whether ss command is available, using native /proc filesystem access.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: s72dd58a0b3f4304bk

webui: improve comment functionality for Monaco diff editor by using gutter

This was a bit of a journey. To me, the correct functionality is like
the breakpoint setting in VSCode. I had o3 find the relevant code and
tried to feed it back into Sketch, but it turned out I had to break it
down into pieces. (Asking it for the whole thing failed several times.)
In the end, I asked Sketch first to add a comment icon in the gutters.
This required just the right "glyphMargin" settings and finally worked.
In the next session, it worked on showing/hiding them depending on where
you were hovering. In the one after that, it deleted the old comment box
functionality, and then in the one after that, added that functionality
back in. And now we're here, and it seems to work.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: sd81ff0507f3398a8k
"

DataManager Enhancement (data.ts):
   - Add expectedMessageCount and isInitialLoadComplete state tracking
   - Add 'initialLoadComplete' event type to DataManagerEventType union
   - Add checkInitialLoadComplete() method to validate completion state
   - Add handleInitialLoadComplete() event emission with message counts
   - Handle empty conversation edge case (message_count: 0) with immediate completion
   - Reset initial load state on connection establishment to handle reconnection
   - Add getIsInitialLoadComplete() and getExpectedMessageCount() getters

2. Timeline Component Enhancement (sketch-timeline.ts):
   - Add isInitialLoadComplete state property for render control
   - Add dataManager property reference for event listener setup
   - Add handleInitialLoadComplete() event handler with console logging
   - Update render logic to show loading indicator until initial load complete
   - Apply 'view-initialized' CSS class when initial load completes
   - Only render messages and thinking indicator after initial load completion
   - Set up DataManager event listeners in updated() lifecycle hook
   - Clean up event listeners in disconnectedCallback() lifecycle hook

3. App Shell Integration (sketch-app-shell.ts):
   - Pass dataManager reference to sketch-timeline component property
   - Enable timeline component to receive initial load completion events
   - Maintain existing data flow while adding explicit completion detection

4. Demo Mock Enhancement (handlers.ts):
   - Initialize currentState with correct message_count based on initial messages
   - Ensure proper message_count synchronization in SSE stream simulation
   - Handle empty conversation demo scenario with accurate state

5.
webui: preserve chat scroll position when switching tabs

Fix scroll position preservation in SketchAppShell to maintain chat timeline
scroll position when navigating between tabs, preventing automatic scroll
to top when returning to the chat view.

Implementation Changes:

1. Scroll Position Storage:
   - Add _chatScrollPosition state property to track chat scroll position
   - Store scroll position when leaving chat view in toggleViewMode()
   - Only store position if content is scrollable and user has actually scrolled
   - Validate scrollHeight > clientHeight and scrollTop > 0 before storing

2. Scroll Position Restoration:
   - Restore scroll position when returning to chat view
   - Use requestAnimationFrame to ensure DOM is ready before restoration
   - Add safety checks to verify view mode and container connection
   - Validate container is still connected before applying scroll position

3. Smart Reset Logic:
   - Reset stored scroll position when new messages arrive and user is near bottom
   - Check if user is within 50px of bottom (isNearBottom) before resetting
   - Allow timeline auto-scroll behavior for new messages when user is following
   - Preserve position when user has scrolled up to read older messages

4. Defensive Programming:
   - Add comprehensive validation for scroll container existence
   - Check scrollHeight, clientHeight, and scrollTop before calculations
   - Validate viewMode matches expected state during restoration
   - Ensure container.isConnected before DOM manipulation

Technical Details:
- Uses existing scrollContainerRef for scroll container access
- Maintains compatibility with existing scroll behavior in sketch-timeline
- Preserves timeline auto-scroll for new messages when user is at bottom
- Only stores meaningful scroll positions (not zero or invalid values)
- Handles edge cases like rapid tab switching or container changes

User Experience:
- Chat tab now remembers scroll position when switching to diff/terminal tabs
- Reading older messages no longer interrupted by tab navigation
- New messages still auto-scroll when user is following conversation
- Smooth restoration without visible jumps or layout shifts

This resolves the issue where the chat timeline would always scroll to the
oldest message when navigating back from other tabs, significantly improving
the user experience when reviewing conversation history.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: s3a52c0413098ade3k

webui: implement Mermaid code splitting with lazy loading

Split Mermaid library into separate bundle with content-based hashing for
optimal caching and reduced bundle size in main application components.

Implementation Changes:

1. Lazy Loading Infrastructure (sketch-timeline-message.ts):
   - Replace direct mermaid import with type-only import
   - Add loadMermaid() function with Promise-based dynamic loading
   - Implement __MERMAID_HASH__ constant injection pattern
   - Add global window.mermaid type declarations
   - Create mermaid loading promise with singleton pattern

2. Bundle Splitting (esbuild.go):
   - Add createStandaloneMermaidBundle() function
   - Generate content-based hash from mermaid package.json
   - Create mermaid-standalone-{hash}.js as IIFE format bundle
   - Implement esbuildBundleWithExternals() replacing esbuildBundleWithExternal()
   - Add --external:mermaid to all TypeScript bundle builds
   - Inject __MERMAID_HASH__ constant at build time

3. Async Rendering (sketch-timeline-message.ts):
   - Update renderMermaidDiagrams() to async/await pattern
   - Load mermaid library only when diagrams are present
   - Initialize mermaid configuration after dynamic loading
   - Maintain fallback to code blocks on loading errors
   - Preserve all existing mermaid functionality and configuration

Technical Details:
- Uses content-based hashing for optimal browser caching
- Mermaid loaded on-demand only when diagrams are present
- Singleton loading pattern prevents duplicate network requests
- Maintains existing mermaid initialization options
- Preserves error handling with code block fallbacks
- IIFE format enables direct window.mermaid assignment

Benefits:
- Reduces bundle size for components not using mermaid diagrams
- Enables browser caching of mermaid library across sessions
- Maintains existing functionality with lazy loading
- Improves initial page load performance
- Provides same user experience with deferred mermaid loading

This follows the same pattern established for Monaco editor bundling,
providing consistent lazy loading architecture for large dependencies.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: s0f8a82fcd28add05k

webui: fix diff view scrollbar visibility and resize handling

Fix Monaco editor scrollbar display issues and improve browser window resize
responsiveness in the diff view, providing a cleaner interface and better
user experience across different screen sizes.

Problem Analysis:
The diff view had two significant issues affecting usability:

1. Monaco Scrollbar Visibility: Despite setting scrollbar configuration to
'hidden', a large gray scrollbar remained visible on the right side of
the Monaco diff editor. This was caused by insufficient CSS targeting
of Monaco's complex DOM structure and scrollbar element hierarchy.

2. Resize Handling: The diff view did not properly adapt when users resized
their browser window. While the editor had automaticLayout: false and
manual sizing, there was no window resize listener to trigger layout
recalculation, causing the editor to maintain its original dimensions.

3. Refresh Button Layout: At certain screen widths, the refresh button would
wrap to its own line prematurely due to inflexible sizing constraints.

Implementation Changes:

1. Monaco Scrollbar Removal (sketch-diff2-view.ts):
   - Added comprehensive global CSS rules targeting all Monaco scrollbar elements
   - Targeted .monaco-editor, .monaco-diff-editor, and .monaco-scrollable-element
   - Applied multiple hiding techniques: display: none, visibility: hidden,
     width/height: 0, opacity: 0 for maximum coverage
   - Added padding/margin removal to prevent scrollbar space reservation
   - Ensured diff content takes full width without scrollbar spacing

2. Window Resize Handler (sketch-monaco-view.ts):
   - Added setupWindowResizeHandler() method with debounced resize logic
   - Implemented 100ms debounce to prevent excessive layout calls
   - Added window 'resize' event listener that triggers fitEditorToContent()
   - Fallback layout call with current container dimensions if fit function unavailable
   - Proper cleanup in disconnectedCallback() to prevent memory leaks

3. Layout Improvements (sketch-diff2-view.ts):
   - Set minimum width (400px) for sketch-diff-range-picker component
   - Added minimum width (120px) for file-count display
   - Ensured flex layout provides adequate space for all controls
   - Improved responsive behavior at various screen widths

4. Enhanced Scrollbar Configuration (sketch-monaco-view.ts):
   - Extended scrollbar options with additional Monaco-specific settings:
     - useShadows: false to disable scrollbar shadows
     - verticalHasArrows: false / horizontalHasArrows: false to remove arrows
     - verticalScrollbarSize: 0 / horizontalScrollbarSize: 0 for zero track size
   - Combined configuration-based and CSS-based hiding for complete coverage

Technical Details:
- Global CSS injection occurs once per diff view instance in constructor
- Window resize handler uses setTimeout debouncing to avoid performance issues
- Monaco editor layout() called with explicit dimensions during resize
- CSS targeting covers all known Monaco scrollbar element patterns
- Minimum width constraints prevent layout collapse at small screen sizes
- Cleanup handlers prevent memory leaks when components are destroyed

Benefits:
- Clean, professional diff view appearance without distracting scrollbars
- Smooth responsive behavior when browser window is resized
- Improved layout stability for controls at various screen widths
- Better user experience across desktop and mobile viewport sizes
- Maintained full Monaco editor functionality (editing, syntax highlighting, etc.)

Testing:
- Verified scrollbar completely hidden at all screen sizes
- Tested resize responsiveness from 600px to 1400px+ widths
- Confirmed smooth transitions during window resize operations
- Validated refresh button layout behavior at different breakpoints
- Ensured Monaco editor features remain fully functional
- Tested both horizontal and vertical window resize scenarios

This implementation provides a polished, responsive diff view experience
that properly adapts to user browser configurations while maintaining
all advanced Monaco editor capabilities.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: sf19d359b4fcbcbdek

webui: implement multi-file diff view with continuous scrolling

Replace file selector with GitHub PR-style continuous scrolling through
multiple files in a single view, improving diff navigation experience
while maintaining all Monaco editor features.

Problem Analysis:
The existing diff view required users to navigate between files using a
dropdown selector and Previous/Next buttons. This created friction when
reviewing multi-file changes and broke the natural scrolling flow that
users expect from GitHub PR views or other modern diff interfaces.

The limitation was that Monaco doesn't provide a built-in multi-file diff
widget, requiring custom implementation with multiple IStandaloneDiffEditor
instances properly configured for stacking and auto-sizing.

Implementation Changes:

1. Multi-File Layout (sketch-diff2-view.ts):
   - Replaced sketch-diff-file-picker with simple file count display
   - Implemented renderFileDiff() to create separate diff sections per file
   - Added renderFileHeader() with status badges and path information
   - Created multi-file-diff-container with vertical stacking layout
   - Added loadAllFileContents() for parallel content loading
   - Replaced single originalCode/modifiedCode with Map<string, FileContent>

2. Monaco Auto-Sizing (sketch-monaco-view.ts):
   - Configured diff editors with hidden scrollbars per Monaco ≥0.49 pattern
   - Added setupAutoSizing() with content height calculation
   - Implemented fitEditorToContent() using getContentHeight() callbacks
   - Set automaticLayout: false for manual size control
   - Added scrollbar: { vertical: 'hidden', horizontal: 'hidden', handleMouseWheel: false }
   - Enabled minimap: false and scrollBeyondLastLine: false

3. CSS Styling (sketch-diff2-view.ts):
   - Added file-diff-section with bottom borders for visual separation
   - Implemented sticky file headers with proper z-index
   - Created status badges (added, modified, deleted, renamed) with color coding
   - Added file-count display replacing old file picker interface
   - Configured diff-container with overflow: auto for outer scrolling

4. Content Management:
   - Parallel loading of all file contents with error handling
   - Maintains editability detection per file based on commit range
   - Preserves comment and save functionality for individual files
   - Updated toggleHideUnchangedRegions to apply to all editors

Technical Details:
- Uses Monaco's getContentHeight() and onDidContentSizeChange() for auto-sizing
- Each diff editor sized to Math.max(originalHeight, modifiedHeight) + 18px padding
- Outer container handles all scrolling while inner editors are sized to content
- File headers show status (Added/Modified/Deleted/Renamed) with appropriate styling
- Sticky positioning keeps file context visible during scrolling
- Maintains all existing features: editing, commenting, expand/collapse toggles

Benefits:
- Natural scrolling workflow similar to GitHub PR reviews
- Eliminates need for dropdown navigation between files
- Better visual context with file headers and status indicators
- Continuous viewing experience for multi-file changes
- Preserves all advanced Monaco features (editing, commenting, etc.)
- Improved performance with parallel content loading

Testing:
- Verified multi-file diff display with various commit ranges
- Tested scrolling behavior between files works smoothly
- Confirmed auto-sizing works correctly for different file sizes
- Validated file headers show correct status and change counts
- Ensured editing and commenting functionality preserved
- Tested expand/collapse toggles apply to all editors

This implementation follows the Monaco ≥0.49 multi-file diff pattern with
disabled inner scrollbars, auto-sizing to content, and outer scroll container,
providing a modern diff experience while maintaining full editor functionality.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: s0724a00944669c80k
"

This
created friction when collaborating or returning to specific diff views.

Implementation Changes:

1. URL Parameter Synchronization (sketch-diff-range-picker.ts):
   - Added updateUrlParams() to write from/to/commit parameters to URL
   - Integrated URL updates into dispatchRangeEvent() for automatic sync
   - Used history.replaceState() to update URL without page reload
   - Clear unused parameters when switching between range/single modes

2. URL Parameter Initialization:
   - Added initializeFromUrlParams() to read URL parameters on load
   - Parse 'from'/'to' parameters for range mode initialization
   - Parse 'commit' parameter for single commit mode initialization
   - Return flag indicating successful URL-based initialization

3. Load Flow Enhancement:
   - Modified loadCommits() to check URL parameters before setting defaults
   - Skip default commit selection when URL parameters are present
   - Always dispatch range event to ensure diff view updates correctly

4. Browser Navigation Support:
   - Added popstate event listener for browser back/forward navigation
   - Implemented handlePopState() to re-initialize from URL parameters
   - Force component re-render and event dispatch on navigation

5.
webui: fix repository name parsing for names containing dots

Fix GitHub repository URL parsing in sketch-container-status component to
properly handle repository names containing dots, resolving broken GitHub
links in the ongoing session log banner.

Problem Analysis:
The formatGitHubRepo function used regex patterns with [^/\\s.]+ character
classes that excluded dots from repository names. This caused repository names
like 'boldsoftware/sketch.git' to be truncated to 'boldsoftware/sketch' when
parsed, breaking GitHub links and repository display in the session banner.

The issue occurred in three regex patterns for different GitHub URL formats:
- HTTPS URLs: /https://github\\.com/([^/]+)/([^/\\s.]+)(?:\\.git)?/
- SSH URLs: /git@github\\.com:([^/]+)/([^/\\s.]+)(?:\\.git)?/
- Git protocol: /git://github\\.com/([^/]+)/([^/\\s.]+)(?:\\.git)?/

The [^/\\s.]+ pattern specifically excluded dots (.) from matching, which was
problematic for legitimate repository names containing dots.

Implementation Changes:

1. Regex Pattern Updates:
   - Changed [^/\\s.]+ to [^/\\s]+? in all three URL patterns
   - Removed dot exclusion while maintaining whitespace and slash exclusion
   - Added non-greedy quantifier (?) to prevent over-matching
   - Added end-of-string anchor ($) for precise matching

2. Updated patterns:
   - HTTPS: /https://github\\.com/([^/]+)/([^/\\s]+?)(?:\\.git)?$/
   - SSH: /git@github\\.com:([^/]+)/([^/\\s]+?)(?:\\.git)?$/
   - Git: /git://github\\.com/([^/]+)/([^/\\s]+?)(?:\\.git)?$/

Technical Details:
- Non-greedy matching (+?) ensures proper handling of .git suffix
- End anchors ($) prevent partial matches and improve precision
- Dots now allowed in repository names while preserving .git detection
- Existing functionality preserved for repositories without dots

Testing:
Verified fix with comprehensive test cases:
- git@github.com:boldsoftware/sketch.git → boldsoftware/sketch ✓
- https://github.com/user/repo.with.dots.git → user/repo.with.dots ✓
- git@github.com:org/project.name.git → org/project.name ✓
- https://github.com/test/normal-repo → test/normal-repo ✓

Benefits:
- GitHub links now work correctly for repositories with dots in names
- Session banner displays proper repository information
- Maintains backward compatibility with existing repository names
- Improves user experience for repository navigation

This fix resolves the specific issue where repository names containing dots
would have their GitHub links truncated, breaking navigation to the actual
repository on GitHub.

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: sda0a251af3d756b6k

webui: improve GitHub repo parsing tests

Replace internal method testing with component behavior testing for better
integration coverage and maintainability.

- Test actual GitHub link rendering in DOM instead of calling private methods
- Add separate test cases for repository names with dots
- Verify href attributes, text content, and title attributes are correct
- Cover both general dot-containing names and the specific boldsoftware/sketch case

Co-Authored-By: sketch <hello@sketch.dev>
Change-ID: s216977b6be91a2bak
"
